Rover scans your codebase with various LLMs,
agents,
and tools,
which each have their own cost to us,
typically based on the amount of code scanned.
Because of this,
we can’t simply give you “number of tokens used”
as a usage metric,
as token of model A =!= token of model B.
Instead, we created the concept of a Rover token,
for which each underlying model has a conversion rate.

Free plan
Looking at the usage limits chart,
you’ll no doubt note that the 50 Rover tokens
of the Free plan
is less than the 1000 Rover tokens
of the Team plan.
Although it seems small,
in our experience it is more than enough for
typical usage
by individual developers and small startups.
